i should have remembered this from last year

I bought clementines. A box of clementines. Friday night.

And now they're gone.

Not that I'm complaining (my kids like fruit! Why would I complain about that?)

But I would have liked one.

Or maybe a banana, which also disappeared...

It's just a shame when your children gobble all the fruit and leave you with all of that unhealthy cheesecake.
Have they no shame?

Er...what are Clementines?

I am too lazy to google it.

Buy some more, & eat them all yourself. YDI!!

Yeah, my girl child can polish off a crate her own self in record time. The past few months she's been making do with seedless oranges, which she cuts up herself with a big sharp knife. Oy. I dunno what it is with her and citrus fruit. If we don't have any oranges/clementines/tangerines, she's been known to eat A LEMON.

Next time hide some for yourself or buy 2 boxes! lol

witchyyp - I know. Have they no regard for the cake?
sarah lou- We keep the crates and C uses them to keep his fleet of dinkycars in.

Cat, Jenny, Ang, and Badger -
What is is with kids and clementines? R's all forlorn now.

Meggie - here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clementine
Basically, a clementine is like a tangerine, only less sour and seedless.

Next time I AM gong to buy two boxes. Except then you KNOW that would be the day they decided they didn't want to eat any more, EVER and I'd be stuck with huge amounts of oranges.

Clementines always mean Christmas to me. I haven't bought any yet, but I'll probably grab a crate tonight. And another one on Wednesday -- my kids love them too.

You could buy just one crate, in case interest drops off suddenly, and stash a few in a secret hiding place, then turn the the kiddies loose on the rest. At least you know they're storing up Vit.C for the winter!
