is it too late to interest her in crib toys?

Oh my god, my brain is slithering out my nose.

And it's all my fault.

Yesterday I brought home a movie from the library for Rosey - some Barbie thing. I figured it would be a good thing if it rains all this weekend.

And here we are, my life minus an hour I'll never get back.

Barbie and her band sing, people. They have hit records. They have big hair. They are bling incarnate.

And now that they're done with their 'World Tour Promoting Peace', there's only one place left for Barbie and her groupies zombies band members to go -

outer space. Yes, Barbie and the less pretty girls her friends are going to sing in space. Outer space. NASA is thrilled to help, natch. (Well, really, who wouldn't be?)

I think I need to be one of those moms drinking the 'fortified' coffee in the morning.

Okay, I just zoned out for awhile, and now Barbie seems to be caught in a time warp. A time warp - taking her back to the Fifties? whimper. My brain huuuurts. Oh, thank God, Rosey is tiring of the relentless go-go. Good girl. Yes, there might be hope for you yet.....

Nooooooooo, not Max and Ruby! Augh! My brain is meeelttting.....

Where's my coffee?

Hehehe...the things kids love huh! We are hooked on Mary Poppins over here, thankfully that is one movie I love. Try that one for Rosie instead!!

It's a good thing you didn't BUY that movie.

Yeah, we're in our Barbie year here too. Pink and sparkles and press her necklace and she sings, horribly. This too will pass.

Should this be the reason I am glad I don't have a daughter...

Ugh. Kid's TV. I only 'got it' when I was a kid. Now I cringe when I see what I used to watch and enjoy.

I was going to say it could be worse, it could be Pokemon but on reflection I think that WOULD be worse than Pokemon and I didn't think that was possible!

Is silicone safe in outer space??

Come on, that could totally happen.

I never liked Barbie. My daughter says I blighted her life, by not letting her have a Barbie. We got Daisy instead, who seems to have sunk without trace!

My kids' current obsession is Mamma Mia, the movie. I love ABBA, grew up on a steady diet of Dancing Queen and Nina Pretty Ballerina, so I am OK with ABBA. But Mamma Mia the movie every single day??? My kids are killing ABBA for me, and I have to say this is worse than the headache I used to get during the Barbie music stage. Sigh...

I don't know what's worse, Barbie or Max and Ruby. My little girls haven't discovered Barbie yet (and won't, if I have any say over it), but they freakin' LOVE Max and Ruby. Me? Ice pick in the ear canal....

Where's that fortified coffee?

Ok, clearly the movie sucked. But Max and Ruby? They are second only to Little Bear. I love 'em!
