This is going to be interesting.
So far, we've (signing badly, and confusing the heck out of each other)
managed to annoy the baby (she swats at our hands when they get too close to her face)
and made our son think we were fussing at each other - with our fingers.
New Age conflict resolution?
I wanted to title this : The Indian Names No One Ever Got, but Shrill Monkey Boy calls me from downstairs...

Ah, the signing days. Get confused and 'thank you' done sloppily can mean something quite nasty!
you guys will get this. start small. with stella, we started with the signs for "please," "eat," and "milk." once she got those, we added three more (and so on). do them even if it doesn't seem like she's paying attention. can't wait to hear about her progress!
I wonder if there was a lot of competition for "shrill monkey boy" in the old Indian tribes. Good luck with the signing.
I think this is a great thing.. I am favorable to sign langauge started young ( has nothing to do with being a sign language interpreter ) eyes rolling... kids pick up fast and all in good time dont give up :-)
