mango dreams

I painted the bathroom today.

After all my angst and second-guessing myself about the color, I rolled it on and

hmm.

Mango Dreams. The color name is Mango Dreams. It ....looks like off-white.

Hmm.

Well.

...well, I still can't tell if I like it or not. But compared to the baby-blue and black with random red squares that it was*?

It's fricking gorgeous.

*It was baby-blue squares with rims of black. When we moved in, I painted a few random squares red. It was great for about a month, and I've hated it ever since.

Funny. I painted our dining room coconut dreams, and it is also an off white. Are all fruity dreams in white tones?

Anything has got to be better than the "ballpoint pen and toddler slime" theme we have going on!

Somehow, food-named colours in the bathroom are just wrong to me. Although I was once told that eating in the bathroom was "efficient".

Ack. My bedroom is cool latte. Also? Off white.

I clicked over from GR looking for pics. I thought, "surely she hasn't forgotten the visuals." And I'm not the only one, I see.

I'd have thought mango dreams would have been orange or peachy. Whitish. Strange. Calming? (White drives me crazy...like it's begging for obliteration.)

Here I thought you were missing the fruit and I was ready to mail you some. We have them year round.

White? Seriously?

We just painted a room "lemon sorbet". And the old apartment was mostly "whipped cream".

You should have done the before and after shots for us.

There is nothing like paint to refresh. Although Mango Dreams sounds vaguely pornographic...

I don't know that I would buy an off-white mango if I saw it on the shelf in the produce aisle.

Then again, the burnt pumpkin colour I painted my living room is called 'muesli' and if I ever opened a box of muesli and saw it was that colour, I'd return it right to the store.

Glad it's an improvement.

The bathroom in our house was blue and gold and a few greens done with sponges. It had to go. We used some sort of off-white that's totally light green. 'Tis way better.
