Whole lot of nothing going on
Last week, I got covid. For the third time, and this one was unpleasant in ways that I don't really want to talk about. (Life tip: NO ...

You will have to remind him of this when, on the first day of high school, he does NOT want to get out of bed!
(I have a similar tale from my childhood!)
Right rockin! How's that for getting it all together in a hurry? Endearing.
Adorable! Let's see how early he is in 3 weeks. LOL
In another week or two, you'll be dragging him out of bed. Enjoy this while you can.
Ya we were dressed by 6:15 on day one of grade 2 yesterday ... we'll see how long this lasts. But makes my heart burst just the same.
I love it - Julia was very much the same way.
Wow! You must go to a GREAT school.
A-hah! I see you were in a similar boat as me.

So cute!
Uh oh. Big boyness has arrived!

First grade, wow! I hope he had a great day!
Nice, I wish I had that problem. My guy was scared to death of grade 2 (he was okay with grade 1 cause he didn't know what to expect). But he enjoyed his day and seems okay.
Too bad you can't bank all that enthusiasm until they get to high school. It might help to scrape them out of bed so they can get to first period geometry! Meanwhile---enjoy it, and him!
The irrepressible joy of being a young boy!
What a cutie.
I just love your post about picking the kids up after work. You write SO well. Mine are all big now but you brought it all back.
That smile is going to break some poor girl in half some day. Probably more than one poor girl.
