first time

Today was a banner day.

Today, my daughter asked for shoosh* with her pankikk** and talked about the yion*** and wanted her bunny and for me to weed buks! weed buks!****, and then tonight? As I was switching on her fan and making sure her bunny garden was complete?

Mama? Mama! Mama!
Hmm, Peaches?
Mama, Dawuvoo. Dawuvoo, Mama.
(choking up) I love you too, Rosey Posey.

My heart - I think it has wings tonight.

Oh, adorable little thing! Don't they just make it all worthwhile?

She's trying really hard, isn't she? I wanted to say that my son stopped and started talking on and off, and NOW I just can't shut him up! Not that I want to, of course. And he repeats everything, not perfectly, but I can understand what he's saying. The preciseness of the language will come. Go Rosey!

How wonderful! It must be such a relief (and a joy) for you. How old is she again?

So cute. I know you were worried - this must be a huge relief.

In six months, I expect to be reading "Oh my GOD, someone shut this child UP!" posts. :D

Oh, how cute.

By the way, where exactly are you in NS? Or rather, how close to Halifax/Dartmouth are you? If at all? I went around most of NS with my DH years ago, and have visited it before with my parents. I have cousins over there, in Waverly (near Dartmouth). Well, actually, most of the cousins aren't there anymore, but the aunt and uncle still are. We also did part of Cape Breton, the Annapolis valley, Digby, the south shores, etc... on our last trip. I love NS. If I couldn't live here in Quebec, I'd love to live in NS.

By the way, my second son was two before he said much past Mama, papa, no, yes and maybe juice.

Thanks, everyone! I'm still delighted and smily about that today!

Jeanne, I'm about an hour west of Halifax along the South Shore. It is pretty here - I'd like to see Quebec too!

The spontaneous "I love you" is a beautiful thing. I'm still waiting for my youngest to decide to tell me he loves me, luckily the older tells me frequently (as noted he now wants to be my husband!).

A couple of big blows
