first you pan left

Ah, snow. Snow and ice.

Look! A kid in the snow!

And there's another! Coasting. How sweet. My, they did get dumped on in that last storm, didn't they? Well, it is January, after all. There should be snow.

Snow all over.

Except....there. By the house. What the heck?

Guess when Jessica talks about the winds whistling by her house? She isn't kidding. Those winds can move the white stuff.

(Apparently? I live in some sort of wind tunnel. Which is interesting, and makes it easy to take the dog out.)

But it looks really weird from the road.

That looks so pretty. And is the recipe for sitting inside with a big mug of cocoa once the sledding is over!

wow. I'm speechless, having just read that Ask me about my beaver button. Can't even remember what I was going to say. Too funny.

Our driveway hardly needed plowing after that big windy storm. But the verandah was drifted high.
That's wind. I was thrilled that there were no power outages.

the FB would be superjealous. He has his own sled (bought when it snowed for a few hours last April) and wants to use it desperately. I might send him over

Did you ever read The Finches' Fabulous Furnace when you were a kid? That's what your yard reminds me of. If you haven't read it, go to your library and check it out and read it with the kids; they'll love it. It's a great winter read and they'll be specualting about your lawn for years! It's by Roger Wolcott Drury.

I guess we sent that wind over to you, eh? ;-)

We don't usually get it in December, though - it usually comes early November - and blows all of the neighbor's leaves into our yard.

Living in North Vancouver, we're not supposed to look all snowy like that. I agree, it can make it difficult to take the dog out. Who woulda thunk they don't like pooping on snow?

And the doggy thing - ha! Does it remove poop as well?
