rock on
For a girl that says her Santa list is all about Barbie, Miss R seems to be having a good time with other pursuits. Things like B's set of Tinkertoys and her Mom's love of old eighties bands combine to produce small girls' rocking out with a home-made guitar, belting out Night Ranger's 'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' and shaking her arse.
Not that we mind, of course. The less pink plastic in her life, the better....

Whole lot of nothing going on
Last week, I got covid. For the third time, and this one was unpleasant in ways that I don't really want to talk about. (Life tip: NO ...

Surely it's an ass on your side of the world? Gosh I love kiddie concerts like that. They truly rock.
They do grow out of the pink, not that it gets any easier or better. Bratz (otherwise known as Scantz) have come up a couple times. Apparently she saw the show or the movie at a friend's house. And she thinks a Nintendo DS is a good idea. huh-
I laughed in delight at the menntion of Tinkertoys!! We had a set that had belonged to our Uncle, & we loved them when we were kids... which was too long ago to think about! Noone has ever heard of them over here!!
Oh man i haven't seen tinkertoys in ages...cute pic..way to pass on the love of 80's music mom!!! = )
She is SO CUTE.
And Tinkertoys! What a great gift idea! Thanks. :)
Get that girl some Bangles, Go Gos, and Pat Benatar!
It's funny how they absorb out musical tastes. Last night's bath saw an impromptu concert by the girls singing 'Jingle Bells' (The 'Batman Smells' version), "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting". Yep we love us some Elton John in this house.
Well your header graphic still isn't loading even though I tried via IE this time. But at least I can comment now!
Our Little Imp, at only 3, is just now growing INTO pink! *lol* She's all about princesses, faeries, dancing and singing. BUT...she loves to rock out and will turn ANYTHING into guitars and drums!
That's such a darling picture of your little one. She's so cute. And Night Ranger? Wow...that brings back memories!
This has to be one of my favorite photographs from you. My Barbie phase lasted such a long, long time... embarrassing.
Look out! You're turning Canadian. You said arse. Heh.
Enjoy it while you can. Tinker toys give way to makeup and fashion clothes. Oh and the expensive iPods...
