early morning wildlife

There are a few things more magical than staring at the surface of the tree-sky reflecting pond, watching a beaver streak by underwater.

A few things more magical....

but not many.

(I'll try to get some decent pictures of our back-yard acrobat this afternoon.)

Well, out of my (office) window right now I can see two pigeons fighting over a McDonalds wrapper. You're jealous now, aren't you?

Perhaps you can feed your son's leftover brussels sprouts to your beaver friend.

Looking forward to the beaver shots. We have them too. I have learned that if you make a splash in the water, the beaver will come to investigate and you can get some good shots that way.

We've had midnight visits from the deer intent on eating my cedar hedge. All I ever see is tracks and droppings.

Will check back for beaver photos.

I've never seen a beaver. I await with anticipation.
