do I have school today?

Both the kids have asked me that today.

It's not that it's been a boring day - same old, same old, but not boring - we played outside for awhile, and there have been spirited games of Candyland (I am RUEING* the day I saw that on the shelf and thought 'Oh, look! Something from my childhood! I must GET THAT!' and somewhere my mother is laughing) and Snakes and Ladders and The Wheels On The Bus and computer time and a nap - but by Sunday, they both miss their schools and would cheerfully put in a few hours there if the opportunity arrived.

Does anyone know if anyone has invented velcro jackets for dogs? Anything would be better than the metric ton of hair I swept up today. I've tried asking him to shed outside, but it doesn't seem to work...

Looks like it's time for a cuddle before supper. Poor little girl, the fresh air and the games of tag do her in.

*And I honestly do know that this is spelled ruing. It looks really odd, though, in all caps.

I know there are velcro jackets for dogs, velcro down the chest that is. I also know, if the dog will allow it, vacuuming them is much more effective.

I love your new photo. My daughter always couldn't wait for Monday to roll around for school. She loved it!

I used to have a big rubber mitt covered with lots of little nodules for grooming my pets. The cat took one look at it, hissed and walked off, with the level of disdain only a cat can achieve, and the dog snatched it off my hand, took it off and chewed it up.

Sellotape wrapped sticky side out around your hand will help shift the hairs from soft furnishings.

Just been catching up. Loved your walk, & the magical old building.
But seriously- that "cute" pony?
Concept from hell!!

That is a beautiful new photo in your header.

I can see what your problem is - not enough tv to amuse them. Honestly. Playing board games and singing and interacting with them. Stop making the rest of us look bad.

It's a nice compliment to their teachers....don't you hope they'll still be so eager when they're in H.S?

My girls ask me that every morning, weekday or weekend, lol.

Gorgeous new photo, btw.

Go to New York...we saw every kind of crazy outfit for dogs. Including? Pants. Yes, dogs wearing pants in Central Park.

I always miss something. Did the snow go away?

I approve of your irregular spelling of Rueing.
