we went:

over the river

peeked through the dancing faerie leaves

looked in the puddles for fish

and found, tucked back in the woods,

the remains of an magical old building.

Oh, and then we threw some rocks.

It was a good walk.

Looks like a lovely walk. And in my boys' books, you cannot improve on a walk where you can also throw rocks into water. I'm sure my kids have raised the level of the Atlantic a couple of inches by their own rock-chucking efforts, both here in Scotland and over in your neck of the woods!

I spent so much of my childhood on walks just like that, and hope to give the same to our kids.
