Today was a glorious sunshine-y day, full of blue skies and a nice breeze and cicadas droning out their message of hot. It's hot. Hot today.
So today the kids ran through the sprinkler,
slid on the slip and slide,
kicked the other sprinkler (It's a big inflatable ball that shoots water in spouts)
watered the garden,
ate popsicles with abandon,
helped me make meatballs,
ate a metric ton of raw carrots (gerrout of that! I'm cooking those!)
chased each other through the field on their bikes in giant swooping loops
made a small city of roadways and parking garages in the dirt of the driveway,
thundered up and down the stairs in search of things to take outside,
threw a frisbee around,
poked each other with dried fettuccine swords,
helped their dad pile wood,
and *still*
*still*
had enough energy to ask if we could practice hitting the tball before showers.
I live with two energized bunnies.
And I just want to know....where can I get me some of that go juice?

I don't think they make it for big people. :-(
It's crack, honey, and you probably don't want to mess with it. ;-)
I'm kind of happy being a sloth, actually. That energy is nice, but man, it's draining just watching it.
They suck it out of your marrow while you're asleep...
What are you feeding them? Whatever it is, you could bottle it as an energy drink and make millions. If you do make millions please send some my way so that I can spend my days on the beach........not expending much energy.
O know, these kids just wear me down. Especially my 3 year old who after a whole day of playing talks to me for what feels like forever before he will go to sleep UGH
mmmm. Meatballs. I'm waiting for it to cool off some here so I can make spaghetti and meatballs.
I would LOVE to have that kind of energy. I think that I used to...
The girl has always been active, from day one - toddlerhood is the easiest stage by far for me!
Oh, I KNOW.
great for you teaching your children the value of playing outdoors in a world where children spend so much time inside.
enjoy it!
right. and how do you wind them down and get them to bed. argh.
I firmly believe that children sneak into our rooms it the middle of the night and just siphon the energy right out of us. It's the only explanation for why they are like that and I am like this.
Ya, I was waiting for the punchline...and yet they were bored. I think you're living with my kids.
Maybe they're solar powered hehehe :)
Cheers Eva
