day of grace, week three

Today, I am grateful for:

A warm wood fire - that's a cold wind that's blowing out there!
Awesome superheroes that show up at my house

That the girl still wants me there while she's in the bath (I roll my eyes, but really? I'd hate missing it.)
A new skin care regimen. I'm one of those horrible people that don't do anything to their skin. I'm sure in twenty years I'll look like Leatherface - and I'm developing a deep wrinkle between my eyebrows. So I've been skin goo shopping. Anyone have any recommendations?
And tonight I'm grateful for large-print books - I love reading in bed!

I used to sell Mary Kay, which was good for skin care. I liked their masque the best. One woman I met at party was about seventy, and I asked her what she did to make her skin look so fabulous. She told me that she washed her face with vinegar and water each day. Like a tiny acid peel every day.

I love that door! Where is it? Brilliant, the chalk board in the doorframe itself. My kids would go nuts over that. It'd be a war of door, all "No boys allowed" "NO girls".

I'm on the leatherface regiment. I have too many pimples to worry about wrinkles.

I also do nothing for my skin and I am feeling the draw to start taking care of it.

Skin goo! Love that - I call it "gunk" and I don't use it either. The whole make-up/moisturiser/skin gunk thing is a mystery to me and I'm too darn lazy to do anything about it. If it means heading into my old age resembling a turtle, so be it.

I do feel for you women and what you have to do for the sake of beauty. We men love you anyways.

Reading in bed is another one of my favorite pastimes there...

Aveda, baby. I know it costs the earth but it WORKS. It's so gentle and pure. Seriously, check it out.

The Skin Type Solution is probably the best book I've read on the subject and really helped me with my regimen.
