when they're sixty-four



It is very hard to scold when your children look like they should be telling you to grow up, whippersnapper, and get a job.

At least it wasn't washing up liquid on the couch - that's a lot harder to vacuum off.

So cute! I've decided that God makes them cute on purpose so we don't do something we REALLY regret. This way they get live to adulthood.

Was it one of those "Hmmm... it's really quiet around here... ???" moments? Those make me nervous.

I'd forgotten about those "quiet around here" moments...

My kids are older now, but they destroyed four couches in the old days.

We actually went a few years without a couch and they had to sit in stiff little schoolroom chairs to watch TV.

You think with all that snow, they could have had a snow fight instead!

Oh! My brother and I did this when we were little! My dad still talks about the baby powder footprints all over the wood floors of our house. That's what gave us away, apparently.

Hah looks like fun. I guess they've become expert vacuum operators now too, no? ;) That stuff makes a slippery mess on bare floors!
