Bear: (calling up the stairs) Honey! Miami Vice is on!
Me: (calling down the stairs) Thanks, sugar, but I watched that during the eighties!
- a little while later -
Bear (calling up the stairs) Your reminder for Nova came on!
Me: (calling down the stairs) Did you want to watch it?
Bear: Umm, no - I watched that..once.
Me: (laughing) So you're good?
Bear: (hugely relieved I'm not going to make him watch another program on Henry the 8th) Yeah - I'm good.

Whole lot of nothing going on
Last week, I got covid. For the third time, and this one was unpleasant in ways that I don't really want to talk about. (Life tip: NO ...

Oh my God, this conversation has happened in my house too! Only replace _Miami Vice_ with _Dukes of Hazzard_. As I think about it now, you might have the better non-_Nova_ option...

(a relatively new reader delurking)
They didn't show the Henry VIII stuff on Nova, dood. 'cause I watched that, too.
I was pissed because they showed Anne of the Thousand Days on AMC or TCM the other night, only it was on at 1 a.m.. Hmph. How'm'I supposed to get my Tudor fix if they're gonna run the stuff that late? Huh?

He already ran through all the Dukes re-runs he could stomach. Now he's on to Miami Vice and (oh, god) the A-Team. What is it about the 80's re-run channels??

Caught me. But making him watch the DNA show (which was on)is just as bad.He watched the Catherine/Catherine henry show with me the other week and turned to me when it was over and said 'Why didn't she just leave him?'
Have you checked your library for Anne? Ours here has all the films. I could be steeped in Tudorism, steeped, I tell you!
My hubby and I had roughly the same conversation about what we watched on Sunday evenings growing up. His family watched "Hee Haw" and mine watched "60 Minutes" religiously. Now he watches "Duke of Hazzard" every freakin' night. Lord help us. :)

I owe the libray an obscene amount of money, so no, I haven't checked there. Once I every pay them back, I'll check it out. They'll probably run it on AMC again before I get that done, though.
Why didn't she just leave him. Heh. That's funny.
You so need to come to my house. I have 37 books, no lie, on the Tudors. You'd be in heaven.
Shhh... I have to type this quietly so my husband doesn't hear me, come over, and read over my shoulder that there are re-runs of The A-Team on televison...

ROFLMAO
hahahahahaha
There is a lot of The Fresh Prince of Belair wathcing going on over here.
Kenny also found.... Kung Fu... w/ that Carridne fellow. OMG! Lord help us if he found Hee Haw! He will watch the INFOMERCIAL for the Hee Haw set and laugh everytime.
My DH is an A-Team freak too. He watches it and then will be humming the theme song for half the day. It's sad though, I know all the characters.
I watch reruns of Barney Miller and Leave It To Beaver and a LOT of Food Network.
I'm clearly deranged, right?
