This morning, there was a brilliant blue sky. (Cue birds singing, faint hallelujah chorus here) The snow sparkled. It was a perfect day to go outside.
C ran out, bent on getting to the best spot for digging with his trucks, and went sprawling.
Because under the pretty, pretty snow?
Was water.
They cavorted and slid around on their bellies and were soaking wet by the time the puddles weren't any fun anymore. Next up? A slush snowman.
C has been determined to make a snowman all winter.
So, even though there was some dissent among the ranks
I'm union, and I'm on a break.
the snowman was built.

Enjoyed this post. Always nice to read about your family adventures.
Heh. Rosey cracks me up. And that snowman? Is a riot.
Looks like the kids had fun!
I dont envy you all that cold slush- even though it is broiling here!
Our big snowstorm last week quickly turned from snow to freezing rain to about 12 hours of nonstop rain, so needless to say we have frozen banks of muddy slush. Not so much on the pretty factor. I think your snowman is winking at me. Looks like such a fun afternoon!
Wow! Slush is the jackpot for children. Snow, water underneath.
Our boys got to play outside today. In almost SIXTY DEGREE weather. I'm thinking we're due for a warm up. Of course, it will snow again, but it's nice to see the tulips poking through!
Wow. A snowman. You don't see many of them over thisaway. Is all this snowy playground your backyard?
I got a huge kick out of the snowperson. Not as huge a kick as the fact you got the snow and we didn't, but close.

Oh what fun to play in the snow. I loved it when I was a kid.
