Well, considering your shoe fetish ;) I must send you this link to a friends blog. She lives in Kampala, Uganda and she was amazed when she got there to see how many shoes wash down the streets in the rains (http://themalans.blogspot.com/2008/04/sun-came-out-this-afternoon.html). Ugh, I was just up by the Strait of Juan de Fuca and at Orcas Island earlier this summer. I can't imagine finding these things on the beach...or even worse, the kids finding them!
