sometimes a pratfall makes you think

Sometimes clumsiness likes to follow me around.

This morning I managed to get all the way to the gas station without rendering myself or anyone else insensible, then I tripped over the doorjamb and nearly cannonballed into a man buying bananas and his buddy, who switched his toothpick from one side to another and asked if I needed a hand.

I sorted myself out and went to pour coffee, where I nearly spilt the entire jug of milk over everything, slopped coffee on the counter, and dropped (then kicked) my car keys.

The attendant raised her eyebrows at me. "Bad day, Jess?"

I waved her off. "No, a good day. Just a bad start."

I'm amazed at all the comments on my last post. Thank you, my friends.

if only they would stop at just dropping and kicking the keys though. I find that the little incidents go on and on all day until I crack and have to go back to bed

When I first went to work at the police department we were told not to lose our keys to the building, car, cells or lockers. So what did I do I dropped my keys in the garage and kicked them across the floor and they fell in the drain. My co-worker laught so hard. I went to my caption and said I needed new keys. He started to yell and I yelled back but they are not lost they are in the drain in the garage. I still laught when I think about that day.

I have days when I just stay in bed and away from everyone.

I had to laugh at the visual of you nearly knocking two guys over. I can't imagine...I'm laughin' again. Bless your heart.

Just par for the, ahem, course for me, as you know. You have a much better attitude about the whole thing, though. Good on you!

ps - my word verification is "ulaula". It doesn't mean anything, just thought it sounded pretty! ;)

You asked me about how my dad's wife watching over the baby will affect my relationship with my father --

For the better, I hope!! I'm worried he'll get upset about her offer because that means she won't be available to him during those weeks of Spring. I mentioned it to her, and she just shrugged it off and told me that he'll survive.

See, it can only get better, and very clever of you to get all those things out of the way first.

I need to remember to keep a positive attitude on days like that. :-)

Whoa! Just tuning in, had no idea that you were going through it. I'm so glad the results were good...

See, I am normally quite an accident prone person (if there's a place to stub a toe, bump a hip, whack a shin, fall over I find it) but couple that with the level of current sleep deprivation and it is just.ridiculous. I like your attitude - it indicates a level of hope.

Re the boobages, I hear ya. I've got an ultrasound referral sitting on the table. Just waiting for the mastitis to simmer down before letting someone manhandle them to check all is ok. Sometimes being a chick is really over rated.

Now THAT'S the right attitude. I must remember that the next time someone says it to me!
