she's a big girl now
She didn't flinch. She didn't cry.
The doctor told her to look away and she did, hesitantly, but she stayed stone-still on my lap until both (one on each arm!) bandaids were applied.
My brave girl. She'd do just about anything to get to go to school. Tomorrow we're going to go look at backpacks and pencil cases, lunchboxes and clean white sneakers,
and then?
Then she'll be ready. For school.

Is Mama ready? No shot for that ;)
My goodness, so brave. She does look ready for school, she's so composed. But we both know she's still your baby.
School. The babies, they just keep growing...
Oh crap. Are they supposed to get a shot of something before school? Mine starts kindie in a couple of weeks, but I'm pretty sure she hasn't had a vaccination since she was 18 months or so.
Good for her! She is going to LOVE it!
She's not only a big girl, she's beautiful, too.
She's getting so big. *sniff*
SCHOOL?
Your BABY?
How'd that happen?
She must be so excited. And you must be so proud. And a little sad, too.
Ours are now in 3rd and 2nd. Hard to believe but there it is. We started back Thursday YAY!
I cried when both my kids started school. I'll be there with you in spirit.
Awww!! Good for her. :)
My pumpkinpie never flinched, either - those girls are awesome.
And btw, my flurry of comments means that yes, I am trying to catch up with reading and get back int he saddle now that I am back at work and the Bun is in daycare. Phew.
