mama amnesia

We've hit a snag on the final days of toilet training here at the daygobys.

You see, Rosey suddenly wants nothing to do with it. Since her brother went to school, she's been a veritable waterfall. While I definitely see that she's feeling a bit lost and unsure without her sidekick, (and expect that it'll cease soon) the puddling? Makes me want to snarl.

I was so done with this.

So, we've been encouraging her and reminding her and telling her she's a big girl and so on.

This morning:

Me: Pinky! What do big girls do?
Rosey: Pee in the toilet.
Me: Yes! You're so smart. You're my smart, beautiful girl.
Rosey: Big girl.
Me: Very smart girl.
Rosey: I not very smart.
Me: (uh?) Yes you are.
Rosey: No I not. I Rosemary smart.

and off she flounced.

Good luck! I so remember those days with my boys. At the end of the day all I wanted was a short drink and to go to bed.

She has a Rosemary good way with words too. Good luck with toilet training, it is very boring.

I just had a lightbulb moment! Maybe *this* is why Missy has all of a sudden turned into a veritable waterfall herself. Her sidekick is also in kindergarten now. Hmm. Something to ponder. Let me know if you figure out how to turn off the faucet!

Good luck with it all. The one thing we can count on, it will come to pass.

Kells is pretty much a part time potty boy. Whenever he wants to basically which is no where near where I want him to be but I guess in time he'll get it.
