years from now, we'll know this as the time the therapy should have started....

I was snorfling the boy this morning when he told me his friend has a girlfriend.

'Really?'

He rolled his head back and looked at me. "Yeah, and she plays with him on the computer and they talk about Superman and everything." He shot me a woebegone look. "Rosey's too little to talk about Superman. I mean, she pretends, but she doesn't get the bad guys or anything."

There was a giggle trying to force itself out of my throat. I clamped down tight.

'So you want a girl (here my voice went all high and funny from the bizarreness of this) friend so you can talk about superheroes?'

"Yeah, and play robots.* Rosey doesn't get that either."

'Mmpfh. Musn't laugh, musn't laugh... 'What about D? (other friend) I know he loves to play with all your guys, right?

C shook his head. "He only wants to be the good guy. All the time."

'So you want someone who will take turns?'

He nodded.

"Maybe......you could find me a girlfriend?"

* this is an intricate game starring six or seven action figures, a lego castle, a firetruck and a lot of 'peww! peww!' noises.

What's a snorfle?

(Oh, and have I mentioned that you rule? Thanks for following me to my new place so quickly!) :)

Snorfling is a snuggly Mom thing - I hug him and nip his ear and tell him I'm going to have fricassed boy (with pickles!) and pretend to take giant bites, smacking my lips.

Gets belly-chuckles out of him every time.

(Love your new digs!)

This is a job for Super Bear! Super Bear please rescue this boy before he and his action figures and robots are captured by Barbie and her gang and forced to have a tea party after every battle! Ooooo, the shame!

That's a very real and danger! Has the boy looked into the possible downside of involving a girl in his superhero games? But, how sweet is he?? Stifling giggles of my own, nonetheless...

Pimp Mama?

Too cute. I never realized how lucky my brothers had it. Juan collected the good guys and Jose collected the bad guys... they had it all worked out.

Someday Rosie will get it.

Man, if only my son would allow me to pimp him out. I've got my eye on a few of the cuties in his class...they're smart, sassy and play kick ass soccer. Plus they think I ROCK!!!

What more could a future mother in law ask for?

However, my damn son thinks he needs no interference in his game.

Damn it. You must teach me your secret.
