it's not just Santa that's watching you

.....so be good, for goodness sake!

(It's her newest hang-out*. The cats are determined to re-establish their claim on the downstairs, no matter what the dog would prefer. No wonder Jasper's grumpy.)

*Just to the left of the angel's wing.
See her now?

Ha!
My cats love to hide beneath the Christmas tree and there's one ornament - a human shaped one, disturbingly enough - that we have to hang up high or the chew on it all the time, the wretches.

I wouldn't have found her without direction.

Is she the guard cat, preventing the kids from shaking presents?

I spotted her quite quickly, because I'm used to seeing a pair of kitty eyes peering out from under our own tree.

I decided to play a trick on Max this morning and start up the battery-operated train that runs around the base of the tree. Mean person that I am. The joke was on me when Max fled in terror, knocking over the tree-watering apparatus. I am so getting coal in my stocking.
