readiness for hallows eve

Is almost non-existent.

For the purple kitty, we have:
One purple feather boa
One kitty headband with ears, a tail and a small bow (tiger striped - will be sprayed with purple paint)
and a purple tulle skirt (ballerina length) with purple hearts at the end.

I'm thinking nubby tights and a long sweatshirt and maybe a wig (whiskers painted on, of course) and she'll be done...

which leads me to da bomb.

You see, the jet costume? Was summarily dismissed. And I can kind of see his point that it was bulky and would be hard to get in and out of the car (necessary while trick or treating 'round our rural parts)....but I'm beginning to think that I could just get soused on Halloween and he could just go trick or treating, I mean, the neighbors know him, they'd give him candy anyway....

Not feasible? I didn't really think so. DAMNIT.

And the chances he'd like to be a purple kitty too? NONEXISTENT.

Back to the drawing board!

I got nothin'. Nothing! Not.one.idea.or.plan.

And this is odd for me, I think. I used to plan alot! Actually, we leave here on Thursday a.m. for the States. I work tomorrow. I don't have one thing packed. and I don't care. What's up with me?

The best Halloween costumes were always the ones we concocted at the last minute. It was more fun indulging in the creative process of thinking up something whimsical than it was actually begging for loot.

Good luck! Costume picking can be really hard! I talked my kids into being traditional halloween themes this year. We have two (very cute) witches and a vampire!!

I have to finish the costumes up this week!

Did this one year. Go to the local thrift store and buy ugly pants, white belt, white shoes, cheap gold chains. Slick his hair back and he can go as a "lounge lizard."

Alright don't panic, you still have a little time. Here's my advice:

Put him on a course of hypnotism. Immediately. Or do it yourself by waving something shiny in front of his face as much as you can and repeating: "I want to be an orange kitty."
(Adjust colour to suit.)

We have always had to be in and out of the car on Halloween and it does severely limit the costumes. One son was a washing machine one year and it was a pain!

lol Well at least you are closer than I am. Oct. 7th and I still have no idea what our little man will be.
He is not quite 3 so he really doesn't know what he wants to be and I am drawing a total blank at this time. :)

LOL, I so don't miss that stage of life! It was always so stressful. The whole what do you want to be? Make the costume. Change your mind. Okay, then what do you want to be NOW. How to make the costume.

Good luck with that!

He didn't want the AWESOMENESS that was that costume?

Too bad. But practical, I guess.
